The single family sector saw rather substantial decrease in the month of January while both the condo and townhouse sectors flourished. High interest rates and a sleepy December have slowly put the squeeze on the single family market taking many buyers off the board and pushing them towards the much more affordable condo and townhouse market. Expect single family to stabilize and the other three sectors to level out in February.

Still shaking off the cobwebs of a winter market the days on market for all 4 sectors is pronounced. Due to decreasing inventory and a little more buyer aggression in recent weeks – expect all days on market to fall.
